Why Anchor Days Are Good.

Diana vs. Xtine argument

Ok first off, not only am i arguing for all anchor days, but I'm arguing for this one specifically.
Our weekend is three days, and we have a blue day on tuesday. That is four days. I can't stand that.
One anchor day allows you to see friends from all classes.
The joy of having an anchor day surpasses even having a JLC. Yes, Lavanya argues that you have all your hw due, but we are given two- no, three (friday) whole days to do it, which is pretty much equivalent to what we are normally given for homework anyway. Do your blue day hw on saturday, and your red day hw on Sunday, and it all works out.
Now, don't tell me you don't start gasping for air after your first hour of a non-anchor day class. Its absolutely terrible. BC calc for an hour, then BC calc for another half an hour. I've often flirted with the idea of having 70 minute classes, which are 'long enough to cover the essentials but short enough to be interesting' to me. :) And then you have one day a week to escape from that. 40 minutes passes you by like that. True, you have four 40-minute classes instead of two 90-minute ones, but having a new topic switch four times is more refreshing!
Just remember, teachers hardly ever give tests on anchor days!
