*ahem, cinematic voice*
Lara makes her return in this all new, high-flying fast-paced action adventure!
I'm done.

Anyway, I made a comparison the other day of me to Lara, and realized that the "which game hero do you most resemble" test was right in saying I was most like her. Lara:

1. Travels alone
2. Hangs around a bunch of techie guys
3. Enjoys beautiful scenery and more importantly, classical designs (as well as cities, though)
4. Makes a lot of sarcastic comments
5. Answers to no one
6. Delves into the past

Hmm, how familar. Not to mention, she has great fashion sense. Except Legend is like, MUST DISPLAY BREASTS! That detracts from the storyline..every scene is like "omg my BOOBS mom died!" Even the guys wear low cut shirts, wtf!... On to the review.

1. Movement.
Smoother than a baby's-- food. If I could move like that, man. Basically, I can open up the game, decide, hey time for some fun, and just leap into action. Its amazing. Got a cliff ahead? No worries. Dive off and find yourself caught by something below. Or water. Need to get away from enemies? Jump off that cliff. Grab that pole. Jump, kick off, leap, flip, land. Stand up and look pro.
It's like the best humanly possible moves, extended to combat obstacles or gaps normal humans couldn't possibly overcome. I mean, one leap and she's 30 feet away, latched on to the side of a mountain. It's a jungle gym. And if she sometimes misses getting a grab completely, she'll slip a bit but pull herself up fashionably.
Just walking around? press F you're suddenly rolling into a flip or pulling yourself into a handstand. Which is all the cooler when..

2. Combat.
Yeah, we're bitchin'. There's a little something called MATRIX MODE. Jump, shoot, watch as time slows for a cool effect, land as the enemy falls over in pain. Or, run toward the enemy and SLIDDDDDE INTO A KICK. BOOM, he's on the ground. flip, shoot, or shoot at explosive cans to kill 'em all. Shoot while in a high-speed dust-kicking motorcycle chase, almost touching the ground as you swerve smoothly.

3. The Grapple.
Best feature ever. grapple a shiny box, and pull it toward you! woohoo watch it slide. Or, see a huge gap in front of you? Nothing to help you get there? Leap off, watch as your grapple hooks on to something above you AUTOMATICALLY and swing quickly to safety.

4. The Scenery.
Mhm. You've really outdone yourselves with the tombs. And putting the culture factor in, as always. Very nice. Very real. Heck you start off one level in a slinky dress at a very expensive party in Japan. I felt like I was really there. And don't forget the Croft Mansion. Nice nice house design. Got a pool and a beautiful window. And an outfit closet!

Lastly, the dialog and gameplay just mingle so well. Everyone says the right thing at the right time. It all blends in very smoothly. The Ending was simply... perfect. The best part is, its not even an ending. You KNOW there's more to come. There was one part that I think everyone would agree was very good acting by Lara if it was a movie. Just, the storyline comes together perfectly. And the discoveries you make throughout the game are just "Wow, if real life was like that...".
The title is very fitting for a game of this caliber.
Legends come to life here. And now it's time to go back and revel in my unlocked rewards. *Leaps off into fun!*
