What do I want? To show up in the city in the evening and spend the night skating in the ice rink.
To eat the finest chocolates and watch the night lights flicker with color.
To giggle with glee at the presents under the tree, and contemplate the cake.
To run my fingers through my hair and shake off the snow,
To sing to the jingle of the bells or some nice, heavy riffs
To stare in awe at the warm of the church and the quietude of the congregation
To laugh in comfort and good company, sharing secrets
To run down a lane of cozy shops with a smile.
To fall asleep curled up with a sigh, a good book, and a soft candle nearby.
And dreams of days to come.
